The Fibre Converters plant on Industrial Drive in Constantine, Michigan

One plant. Since 1951.

Seventy five years converting paperboard in the same corner of southwest Michigan.

A supplier to manufacturers, not to shoppers

Almost nothing that leaves this plant carries our name. It goes inside somebody else's product, in four places nobody ever looks.

seat trim

cabinet

Between
pallet loads

Behind a
wall

Nobody inspects it twice. Nobody notices it until it fails.

That is what shapes the business. A component that disappears into an assembly line has to arrive the same every time, and seventy five years of arriving the same is the whole proposition.

Fibre Converters started converting paperboard in Constantine, Michigan in 1951 and still runs from One Industrial Drive. Extrusion coating, laminating and die cutting all happen on the same site, which is unusual, and it is the reason a specification can be held from raw board through to a finished part.

What running all three processes actually changes

No handoff

Board is not shipped between a coater, a laminator and a cutter. It moves between operations inside one building, so it is not re handled, re stacked or re acclimatised three times.

One accountability

When a dimension moves, there is no argument about which supplier caused it. The same people who laminated the board also cut it.

Construction freedom

Grades, liners, coatings and ply counts are combined against your requirement instead of being restricted to whatever a single upstream mill happens to stock.

Finished parts

Up to 84 in by 75 in, a part leaves as a component rather than as a sheet somebody else still has to convert.

Automotive interior trim, built on a laminated paperboard foundation

Who buys a component nobody sees

Manufacturers across seven industries, from vehicle assembly to housebuilding, specify laminated paperboard from Constantine. The trim above is built on it.

A Fibre Converters specialist at work in the office

You will talk to somebody who knows the line

Enquiries go to specialists who can talk through a construction rather than to a form queue.

If the answer is that your part is not a fit for paperboard, you will get that answer early instead of after a sampling cycle.

Seventy five years is only useful if it is on your part
